My Story

Hi! I'm Rebecca, a full-time metal clay artist, silversmith, lapidarist, tool maker and instructor who specializes in capturing nature in precious metals. I collect imprints of the natural world from as close as my mother’s expertly tended gardens to as far as my travels take me, most recently to Scotland. I began jewelry making at the age of 13 when I caught the beading bug. Over the years my interests and skills developed at pace with the evolution of metal clay and in 2013 I took the plunge and bought my first kiln. Since then I have expanded my skillset to include traditional goldsmithing, lapidary arts, 3D printing, laser etching/cutting, graphic design and photography. My prior careers in the Air Force and as an accountant have fostered a balance between creativity and technique and a melding of imagination with methodology. I was born in Massachusetts and currently reside in Winston Salem, NC with my husband and furry friends, Jimmie and Charlie.
